PROGRAM

DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN SIEM REAP

Upon arrival in Siem Reap airport, meet and transfer from the airport to your hotel. You will have free time for relaxing after a long flight.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 2: SIEM REAP – ANGKOR HERITAGE SITES

We start a special and busy day as you will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourism. Continue by visiting Angkor Thom, the ancient royal city of the Khmer Empire with its centerpiece; the Bayon Temple. Although it may look like a shapeless mass of stone, further scrutiny reveals towers with enigmatic faces of former King Jayavarman VII. Then visit the Terrace of the Elephants, which served as a platform from where the King could welcome back his victorious army and the Terrace of the Leper King, which holds perfect carvings winding along a narrow passageway that leads to the Baphuon Complex.
Continue to Ta Prohm, considered to be one of Angkor’s jewels with its overgrown fig trees, giving a haunting yet exotic atmosphere. Over the centuries, the magnificent roots of the trees have merged with the temple’s huge stone blocks, emphasizing a ‘forgotten city’ feeling.
In the afternoon, continue to Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology.
We finish by experiencing a sunset over the rice fields from the royal crematorium of Pre Rup, a classic view of the Cambodian countryside.

Overnight in Siem Reap.
Meals: Breakfast.

DAY 3: SIEM REAP – FLOATING VILLAGE KAMPONG PHLUK - DA NANG- HOI AN

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kampong Phluk, one of the most impressive and untouched permanent settlements on the Tonle Sap Lake. The community largely depends on fishing for survival within the wet season (from June to October). During the dry season (from November to April) as the lake shrinks due to receding waters, many turn to farming to supplement their income. During this trip you will discover the floating village and see how people live and trade here.

Note: The boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake is not recommended during the dry season (March to July) due to the lack of water. During this period, this tour can be replaced by a visit of the Siem Reap countryside as below:
Take the Tuk Tuk to explore one of the local villages where you can see the daily activities of locals. Take a walk in the village to meet shy but humble villagers. Many children and adults will offer friendly smiles and say "hello" when you pass them by.
Visit a local market where you discover an unknown mix of colors, smells and sounds as you walk down the small alleys and meet some of the friendliest Khmer people who buy and sell a variety of food and household items.

Afternoon, transfer to the airport for flight to Da Nang City (Vietnam).
Upon arrival at Da Nang Airport, transfer 30 km to Hoi An City

Overnight in Hoi An

Board a local boat for a one-hour trip on the Thu Bon River for close views of the fishing boats, country villages along the river before returning to your hotel.
Afternoon is your free time for relaxing on the beach.
